Prepare Before Waxing

After Care

No soaking in a bath, jacuzzi, pool, lake, working out and tanning (including beds and spray tan) for at least 24 hrs. Doing so can cause breakouts.

To prevent ingrown hairs you will need to use a sugar scrub at least three times a week in the shower.  This is highly recommended to do!!

Do not shave!! Keep consistent and you will get the results you want.  The more you wax and keep up with it, the thinner the hair becomes which results in less painful wax treatments.

I recommend my clients to come back within 4-6 weeks.  Beginner clients should come back within 3-4 weeks.  Clients that have been waxing for a while come back between 5-8 weeks.
Do not use a razor, trimmers, or scissors for two weeks prior to your waxing appointment. The hair needs to be at least 1/4''

Exfoliate in the shower with a sugar scrub the day before your appointment. This helps to fluff the hair off your skin for a more efficient wax - especially for your first time.

Do not use lotions, oils, or deodorant before and right after your appointment. This hinders the wax from doing its job and your pores need to be closed before applying any of these products.

Do not wax if you have had chemical peels, microderbabrasion, or any laser treatments in the last month.

I recommend taking two Advil 30 minutes before your appointment if you are anxious.

I recommend not waxing If you are using Retin-A, Renova or Accutane. This results in your skin lifting during the removal process.  Consult with your doctor about your medications before waxing.
